Elevating the realism of virtual collaboration with new avatars

Last week we reviewed how our New Realities - New Productivity update to Arthur improves the way our users leverage virtual reality for efficient remote collaboration.

Virtual reality has come a long way in recent years, and it's now being used more and more in the business world. One area where virtual reality is particularly useful is the productivity of remote teams, where it can be used to create more immersive and productive work environments. However, one of the questions a lot of people had was regarding legs and full-body avatars. That is why among the biggest updates to our virtual reality office solution for enterprises is the introduction of improved new avatars with legs.

Our new avatars will now have opaque hands with skin color and are full-body, complete with legs. This means that users will be able to see each other in the virtual world in a similar way to the physical world, making the whole experience feel much more realistic and immersive. It is an all new level of industry-leading photo-realistic avatars.

In Arthur we always strive to provide our customers with the most advanced and user-friendly solutions to enhance productivity and collaboration in the virtual world which is why our avatar update does not stop there. That is why with the new release we introduce the support for Face& Eye tracking for Meta Quest Pro. This feature allows users to express and view real-life emotions even in the virtual world. This provides users with a more natural and intuitive way of interacting with others in the virtual world, making it feel even more realistic. Facial expressions play a critical role in communication as they allow individuals to express their emotions and convey intentions. This is crucial for effective social interaction, as it allows people to understand each other more accurately. In other words, facial expressions serve as a non-verbal cue to express oneself and can help bridge the gap between effective communication and understanding. This will help users feel more connected to their colleagues and the collaboration they are doing, and ultimately lead to increased remote productivity and team cohesion.

The new Avatars and Face & Eye-tracking support will allow users to improve virtual meetings, making them more realistic and engaging. It will also help to even further break down the barriers to the efficiency of remote work. New avatars will positively influence the experience making it more immersive, which will help increase the productivity, sense of community, and creativity of teams working in the virtual world.
